Why We Built KreweLink
Parade season is one of the most joyful traditions in the world — but getting onto a float, booking a band, or coordinating an entire parade has always been a word-of-mouth, who-you-know process.
The Problem
Getting onto a parade float has always been a word-of-mouth, who-you-know process. If you weren't already connected to a krewe, you were out of luck — and even if you were, the logistics were a mess for everyone involved. And it wasn't just riders: organizers juggling bands, dance teams, captains, and drivers had no central place to coordinate any of it.
- Riders had no way to discover which floats had open spots. You'd hear about a ride through a friend of a friend — if you heard at all — and by then the spot was often gone.
- Captains managed their krewes with spreadsheets, group texts, and paper applications. Tracking who paid, who was waitlisted, and how many spots were left was a season-long headache.
- Drivers who own trucks and tractors had no way to advertise their services or find krewes that needed a hauler. Jobs came through chance connections, and getting paid was informal at best.
- Float owners had rigs sitting idle between parades with no marketplace to rent them out — a missed opportunity to earn and to help a krewe that needed a float.
- Organizers running parades had to coordinate captains, bands, and dance teams through a tangle of emails, phone calls, and spreadsheets — with no way to discover talent or manage bookings in one place.
- Bands & dance teams had no marketplace to showcase themselves or receive parade offers. Booking a gig meant knowing the right person, and getting paid was often informal and unreliable.
Our Solution
KreweLink brings the entire parade community onto one platform — so every role can find what they need, connect with the right people, and handle the business of parade season in one place. From the rider looking for a spot to the organizer booking a marching band, it all happens here.
- Riders browse official parade schedules by city, see exactly which floats have open spots, and request a place in minutes — no insider connections required.
- Captains list floats, review applications, collect dues through Stripe, and book drivers — all from a single dashboard that tracks every spot and every payment.
- Drivers list their truck or tractor, set a rate and travel radius, and get discovered by captains who need a hauler — then send payment requests and get paid via Stripe.
- Float owners rent out their floats to captains, list them on parades, find drivers to haul them, and earn from their investment — all managed in one place.
- Organizers manage captain seats, discover bands and dance teams in the Performer Network, send parade offers, and coordinate every part of their parade from a single dashboard.
- Bands & dance teams join the Performer Network, receive parade offers from organizers, communicate directly, and get paid through Stripe — no premium membership required.
