    Disintermediation Policy

Rules against bypassing KreweLink to transact directly and circumvent platform fees.

    1. Purpose of This Policy

KreweLink provides a secure messaging system and marketplace infrastructure that connects riders, captains, drivers, float owners, organizers, bands, and dance teams. These tools are provided to facilitate safe, transparent transactions within the Platform.

This Disintermediation Policy prohibits users from using KreweLink's messaging system or marketplace tools to arrange transactions outside the Platform in order to avoid platform fees, bypass safety measures, or evade dispute resolution protections.

    2. What Is Disintermediation

Disintermediation occurs when a buyer and seller bypass the Platform (the intermediary) to transact directly, usually to avoid paying marketplace fees. On KreweLink, this includes, but is not limited to:

    • Using KreweLink's secure messaging to exchange personal contact information (phone numbers, email addresses, social media handles) for the purpose of completing a transaction outside the Platform
    • Using KreweLink to find and connect with another user, then arranging payment, rental, or services off-platform to avoid KreweLink's payment processing or fees
    • Sharing payment links, cash apps, or external payment methods through KreweLink messages to bypass the Platform's payment system
    • Encouraging or coercing another user to transact outside the Platform after being connected through KreweLink
    • Using information obtained through KreweLink (listings, profiles, messages) to contact users directly outside the Platform for the purpose of circumventing the Platform

    3. Why This Matters

Disintermediation undermines the safety, trust, and integrity of the KreweLink community. When users transact outside the Platform:

    • They lose access to KreweLink's secure payment processing and dispute resolution
    • They forfeit the protections of the Platform's verification, rating, and review systems
    • They expose themselves to fraud, non-payment, and unsafe situations without recourse
    • They prevent KreweLink from maintaining the quality and sustainability of the marketplace

    4. KreweLink Secure Messaging

KreweLink's secure messaging system is provided solely for the purpose of communicating about transactions, listings, and services within the Platform. Messages are not to be used as a means to arrange off-platform transactions or to share contact information for the purpose of bypassing KreweLink.

KreweLink monitors messaging patterns for signs of disintermediation. Users found to be using the messaging system to facilitate off-platform transactions may have their messaging privileges restricted or their account suspended.

    5. Prohibited Uses of Secure Messaging

Users agree not to use KreweLink's secure messaging system to:

    • Share personal contact information for the purpose of completing transactions outside the Platform
    • Share or request external payment methods, cash app handles, or off-platform payment links
    • Negotiate or arrange transactions that bypass KreweLink's payment processing
    • Solicit or direct users to external platforms, websites, or services to complete a transaction initiated on KreweLink
    • Use KreweLink as a free lead-generation tool while conducting the actual business elsewhere

    6. Consequences of Disintermediation

Users found to have engaged in disintermediation may face the following consequences, at KreweLink's sole discretion:

    • Formal warning and removal of offending messages
    • Restriction or revocation of messaging privileges
    • Temporary suspension of account access
    • Permanent termination of the account and prohibition from creating new accounts
    • Forfeiture of any pending payments or listings on the Platform

    7. Reporting Disintermediation

If you believe another user is attempting to disintermediate or has encouraged you to transact outside the Platform, you are encouraged to report it to info@krewelink.com with a description of the incident and any supporting evidence.

KreweLink will investigate all reports and take appropriate action.

    8. Changes to This Policy

KreweLink may update this Disintermediation Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
